Year 5 and 6 worked with an artist from MBC Arts Well-being to create a glass panel showing an image linked to mining and railways. The glass panels will be fused together and added to a scale model replica of one of George Stephenson’s early locomotives that was in use on the Hetton Coliery Railway in 1822. This is part of the Hetton Colliery Bicentenary celebrations.
