Year 6 visited SafetyWorks! to take part in a series of interactive safety scenarios to help them learn how to live safely and prevent danger.
They were taught how to cross the road safely and how to identify fire dangers in the bedroom. They also experienced escaping from a fire and making the 999 call. The children saw a hospital ward and practised the recovery position. At the West Fifteen Metro Station, they found out how to travel safely and the dangers of the overhead cables. In the police station they found out what happens when someone is arrested and considered the possible impact of personal choices.
It was a very enjoyable visit with invaluable learning.
